Sumerian Moon Goddess
Ashima.
PERSONALITY
Reclusive since she moved from her beloved homeland to search the world. Consuming books, she enjoyed the classics and learned about world history, helping her acclimate to the new society and its ways. When she apparates, she is unable to control her new landing location, it scares her. Often, childlike, she lacks social skills. Her shyness only adds to her ineptness.
Empathic to others, raised to value life, she does not kill, she respects other sentient beings. Ashima lives a nomadic lifestyle, running from other creatures that would control her and her powers. She has an innate sense of impending threats to her, physically and sexually.
Ashima rarely compels the moon to behave against its path. Honing her abilities over the centuries, she can make the moon affect a singular person, group, specific place, town, country, or world. Choices create consequences, making the moon 'dance' results in the changing of the tides, or depth of the water, having minimal effects to disastrous ones. After every 'dance,' Ash feels a tremendous quilt.
HISTORY
Ashima's birthplace is unknown, as is the exact year. Ash was born on the day the Winter Solstice is celebrated now. The young family was displaced from Olympus, settling in the ancient world. Her father taught her how to be a god, while her mother taught her the ancient rites and powers over the moon.
Ashima had a happy childhood even in solitude until her mother was killed during one full moon, when a moon dancer becomes mortal, by a vampire, devastated, her father continued to teach Ash until his grief, and the call of Zeus compelled him to leave Ash alone, beginning her nomadic lifestyle.
Libraries became her comfort her home, snuck away behind stacks of books. Centuries passed, and Ash's trek became tiresome and lonely. Finally, she looked toward the new world as a place to find what she sought. After scouring America, Ashima traveled northward. Lost in the Canadian wilderness, suddenly Ash was transported to a new multiverse, friendless and alone.

INVENTORY
INVENTORY ITEM #1. Sumerian Ritual Book
INVENTORY ITEM #2. Ashmia's headdress.
INVENTORY ITEM #3. An ancient letter, torn and tattered, from her mother.
“The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”
